Public Notice - CARES Act

This is a notification that Jasper ISD intends to apply for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) grant funded under the CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security).

The ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) Fund under the CARES Act provides equitable services to participating private nonprofit schools that are physically located within the boundaries of Jasper ISD.  This fund provides support to assist schools that have costs associated to the pandemic of the public health emergency with COVID-19. If you are a Private Non Profit within the Jasper ISD boundaries and would like to participate, please contact Tracy Armstrong at 409-382-1011 or trarmstrong@jasperisd.net.

 

Every Student Succeeds Act - ESSA

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) is a United States federal statute originally enacted in 1965. These federal funds are authorized for professional development, instructional materials, and resources to support educational programs, and parental involvement programs. The current reauthorization of ESEA is the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Jasper ISD receives funding for the following entitlement programs within the Elementary and Secondary Education Act:

Private schools have the opportunity to participate in the 2022-2023 federally funded programs conducted by Jasper ISD. If your school or facility is interested in participating in any of the mentioned programs, please contact Tracy Armstrong at Jasper ISD by calling 409-384-9484.

  • Title I, Part A - Improving Basic Programs
  • Title II, Part A - Supporting Effective Instruction
  • Title III, Part A ELA - Language Instruction for Limited English Proficient & Immigrant Students
  • Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1 - Student Support and Academic Enrichment
