Honoring those who have served, protected, and defended our freedom is a really, really GOOD THING!
On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the JHS Student Council planned and presented a special program to recognize and honor veterans. Student Council members prepared speeches reflecting on the history and purpose of Veterans Day—honoring those who have served and remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The program featured participation from several student organizations. The FFA led the presentation of colors, while NHS members prepared and served breakfast for the attending veterans. The Choir performed the National Anthem, and the Band presented several musical selections, including a moving rendition of “Taps.”
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all the veterans and their families who attended. JHS deeply appreciates your service and sacrifice.

In April of 2026, they will present their completed projects for review.
