Everywhere I look, I’m reading and hearing about a fallen American hero.  He was only a football coach but developments of late have caused a great deal of debate about the relative merits of his status as a cultural icon.  He is the recently deceased Joe Paterno of Penn State University coaching fame.   Everyone else seems to be weighing in on this topic, so I felt obligated to offer my two cents…
