Make Your Summer Count - LIT

This is some really great news!  LIT has secured almost $10,000.00 in summer school scholarship money and it has now become available for our students. This money is not just for those students enrolled in our DETCCA dual credit classes, but it is inclusive to anyone who is enrolled in our school.  The funding could cover the entire cost of summer tuition!  This is an opportunity to take new courses or re-take college courses failed in order to get a head start in their college career.  This is also an opportunity for graduating seniors to start college in the summer.

*Current JISD High School Students - Before registering for courses, contact the Jasper ISD guidance office by e-mailing Mrs. Herrington at or Mrs. Barbay at for guidance on courses that would apply to your high school program of study.  Currently, in JISD we will allow up to 6 hours of dual credit (2 classes) to be earned for high school credit.

*Current Graduating Seniors – Before registering for courses, contact your college of acceptance concerning your degree plan and what courses they would advise you to take in the summer as a jump start.
