Mrs. Kim Powers
Kim Powers teaches our Child Development sequence of CTE courses, works with high school students in the PELE lab, and is the National Honor Society sponsor. Kim is originally from Burkeville, Texas. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and then completed her masters at Sam Houston State University. Kim began her career in education as a fourth grade teacher. She then worked as a school counselor for 14 years, in three different school districts with different age groups. Kim is married and has two children, Matthew and Macy. Matthew is currently a sophomore at Texas A&M University and Macy is a junior at JHS. Her husband, Jay, is a teacher and coach at Jasper Junior High School.
