"I am so excited to be a part of the Jasper Independent School District, specifically Few Primary,” said Mrs. Lacey. She is looking forward to an incredible 2020-2021 school year!
She began her professional teaching career at Jean C. Few Primary in 2004 teaching first grade. She has taught various grade levels and has worked in the school system for two decades, dedicating her life to working with children.
She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and later went back to Stephen F. Austin to complete graduate school where she now holds a Master's of Education degree in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership. She served as assistant principal at Parnell Elementary for a brief stint and now has returned to Few serving for the last three years. In her role as the assistant principal, she plans to improve the academic and social emotional curriculum of the school and collaborate with the staff to help facilitate professional learning and school improvement initiatives. She is committed to assisting in improving Few Primary and providing the type of learning environment where all students can find success. She really loves the Jasper community and enjoys working with great staff, students, and parents!
Mrs. Lacey has a happy, 23-year marriage with Bobby Lacey of Pineland, Texas and they have three great children: Christina, Desmond, and Tatyana. Mr. and Mrs. Lacey are now proud grandparents of a grandson: Dayson Jace Lacey
