Principal, Wendi Stanley
I grew up in Silsbee and have resided in Buna for the last 16 years. I have two children; Aidan, 15, and Alyssa, 11. I come to Jasper with 11 years’ experience in education. I started out working for Lamar University as a Data Analyst and Career Coordinator for the Career & Testing Center while attending Lamar to earn my Bachelor’s. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Science, Family Studies with an area of emphasis in Child Development at Lamar University. During my last semester of college, I had to complete an internship with Pietzsch-McArthur in an elementary math classroom. I fell in love with teaching and obtained my alternative certification the summer after graduation. I earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lamar University and completed the Principal Leadership Program through Region 5 ESC.
As we embark on the 2020-2021 school year, I look forward to serving the students, teachers, parents, and community members as the principal of this great school. I look forward to helping each student reach their full potential and gain a great start to their educational years at Few Primary. Every decision we make will be based on what is best for our students. Developing a rapport with students, teachers, and parents, being consistent, fair, and equitable in upholding the policies of the campus and district is my priority. My passion for education involves providing a safe, exciting, and rigorous, learning environment for all students. I am confident that this position will allow my strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to continue to keep Jasper ISD a district where diversity is embraced and where we will continue to partner with parents to educate children. Every school day, parents send us their very best, therefore, it is our responsibility to do the best we can to educate them by whatever means possible to see their successes. It is my utmost desire to help Jasper ISD to produce successful confident students. I believe that the positive relationships built within our school are the key to our students' learning and growth.
I am confident in our teachers and staff and their ability to conquer any challenges that we may face this school year. We, as a campus, and as the Few Primary Family, will not only face these challenges head-on but overcome and flourish in our environment, giving our students the very best!
Again, I look forward to getting to know our students, teachers, and staff, families, and community members and building upon the great traditions and community within Jasper ISD.
