Jasper Independent Jasper ISD provides educational services for Gifted and Talented students. The process is underway at Jean C. Few Primary. If your child has done exceptional work and is performing above his/her peers, they may qualify for services. Teachers, counselors, parents or other interested persons may nominate students to be screened for the gifted and talented program. Kindergarten nominations must be received by December 7, 2007, and First and Second Grade nominations must be received by February 8, 2008. A more detailed explanation of nomination, identification, and selection for gifted and talented services may be found in the Few Primary Policies and Procedures Handbook (p. 23-24). Parents may wish to confer with your child’s teacher or contact the school counselor.
