Ways to Improve
Your SAT Score

• Get your PSAT test book from your Guidance Counselor and review your Score Report, following the personal advice in the “Improve Your Skills” section

• Visit www.collegeboard.com/psatextra for answers and explanations for every test question on the 2004 PSAT
    -  Log in to create a student account
    -  Enter the code in the upper right hand corner of your Score Report

• Get higher than estimated score gains by participating in activities such as
    -  Working hard in your classes the rest of the year to learn as much as possible;
    -  Reviewing your high school transcript and selecting courses for upcoming semesters that will prepare you for education and career goals;
    -  Taking challenging, rigorous academic courses: Consider Pre-AP and AP;
    -  Participating in problem-solving activities;
    -  Extensive, quality outside reading and/or writing;
    -  Becoming more familiar with test directions, types of questions, and pacing.

You are encouraged to take both the ACT and SAT in the spring of your junior year
