Enrollment & Registration

The Texas Education Code provides for compulsory attendance.
Additionally, regular and punctual attendance is the greatest single
factor in school success. Therefore, it is a responsibility and duty
of both the school and the parent to cooperate and encourage
students to establish a good attendance record. The district
attendance officer may be used to encourage regular attendance. By
state law, a student may not be given credit for a class if the
student has more than five days of unexcused absences during a
semester.
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

1. RESIDENCE - Students must live in the district with their
parent(s), legal guardian, or letter of Legal Authority.
2. HEALTH RECORD - A student must meet all requirements
before being permitted to enroll. The parent or legal guardian is
responsible for providing all immunization documents for the
enrolling student. Acceptable immunization documents are limited to
official health records from the previous school(s) attended and/or
records verified by a licensed physician or public health personnel.
3. SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT - Students who do not have a withdrawal
sheet or a report card from a previous school will be allowed two
weeks to submit an official transcript from the school previously
attended.
