Head Coach: Shawn Mixon
Shawn Mixon starts his 6th season as the Head Baseball Coach at Jasper High School and his 13th season coaching overall. In his 11 years as a head coach, his teams have made the playoffs nine times, compiled a record of 230-92, and won five district championships. In 2007, Mixon led his JHS team to the
State Championship finals, where they broke many state records. His 2007 team won the 3A State Championship for the first time in JHS history. He has been named district coach of the year 5 times & received the 3A Texas Coach of the Year Award from the Texas Sportswriters Association in 2007. Mixon is a 1990 graduate of Jasper High School and a 1995 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where he also played college baseball. Shawn and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Shelby (9) and Emily (5).
 

Assistant Coach: Steve Smith
Coach Steve Smith has been the Jasper High School Assistant Baseball coach for 15 years. Not only has he played a crucial role in the success of the JHS Baseball Program in each of his 15 years, but in 2007, he also helped coach the Dawgs all the way to the state championship. Coach Smith is a Jasper native, attended Jasper High School and obtained his degree from Sam Houston State University. Steve and his wife, Susan, have two married sons, Sam and Shea, and a grandchild, Rayleigh.

Assistant Coach: David Ford
Coach David Ford has been a Jasper High School Assistant Baseball Coach for 3 years. He was also a part of the 2007 3A State Championship coaching staff. Coach Ford is originally from Paris, Texas and is a 1998 graduate of Prairiland High School. He obtained his degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2005. Coach Ford also coaches football in the fall.

Assistant Coach : Joey Brown
This is Coach Joey Brown’s second year at JHS. He graduated from Colmesneil High School in 1996 and graduated from Lamar University in 2003. He began his coaching at Kountze High School in 2004 where he won district in baseball. He currently coaches Jr. High football in the fall and baseball in the spring. Coach Brown was also a part of the 2007 3A State Championship coaching staff. He has a wife, Kim, who also teaches and two daughters, Hannah and Leah and a son, Austin.
