A message from Mrs. Gilford, Assistant Superintendent
Jasper ISD is committed to an instructional program that teaches the state standards and that has high expectations for student learning.

For the third consecutive year, JISD continues to refine a comprehensive curriculum alignment in all classrooms to ensure a common instructional focus in all disciplines. The curriculum alignment is tied directly to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) state standards as well as the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) tests.

Our Fine Arts Department of JISD serves students and faculty in Music (Band and Choir), Art and Theatre.

Our Career/Technology courses provide instruction in the technical, practical and leadership skills needed for entry-level jobs in business and industry or for entry into Tech Prep Programs at community colleges. Various programs offered include: pre-employment (shop/laboratory), classes, work-based learning (on the job training) as well as courses in career/technology.

Our Physical Education curriculum reflects the Health and wellness theme of our TEKS as well as the National Standards for Physical Education.

Our teachers engage students using resources, tools and technology to solve real-world problems as we continually strive to reach the needs of our diverse population of learners.

Jasper ISD is dedicated to providing our students the knowledge and skills necessary to be productive, responsible and successful citizens.
